I have a question. I want to knit it for my friend's baby who is due in 7 weeks? What size measurements do you think it would be best to use?

Thanks

If you want her to be able to use them right away then I'd go for 16-18". If you look here, she suggest for a size small to make the hips 14-16", the rise 14" and the inseam 7-8".

Thanks. That's great :D

 im going to make an attempt at these (my first knitting project) very soon, but can you keep me right with regards needles. Im going to go for regular circs rather than the magic loop technique - what sizes do i need? I have one 30cm 4.5mm but i think ive got a bit muddled somewhere along the line with what im supposed to buy! Thankyou :)

What is easier, magic looping or doing the legs on a seperate set? I was thinking of getting 3.75mm and 4.5mm size needles for DK wool, does that sound right?

*I'm a very new knitter* :giggle:

40cm cable for the circs. I use 3.75 & 4.5 for dk. I do my legs on dpn so can't answer that.

Jenna - I asked the same question a little while ago! ^^^

Only just realised Nicola replied - thanks hun

Cheers Saskia, so it will be 40cm 4.5mm circs for the main body then? So what about the legs?

You're more than welcome hun

Since replying above I've discovered that it is a 30cm cable for the legs, so the 4.5mm you have Jenna are perfect.

So what you need is a 3.75mm 40cm circ for the waistband, 4.5mm 40cm circ for the body & 4.5mm 30cm circ for the legs

Is it wrong to be stupidly happy that the eyelets look good? They look like something that has been knit by someone that know what they're doing. Not sure I can say the same about the short rows, will knit on a bit before deciding about that :giggle:

Thanks for the pattern Joeli!
