I am confused ladies, i got some double pointed needles today 20cm/3.75mm, and some merino wool, i can cast onto one needle easily but how do i cast onto the three (pics would be best), there is twoo many stitches to cast onto the one! this is why i wanted to use circulairs but only ones i could find in town the cable bit was 80cm - thought that was twoo long x

Have a look here:
http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/advanced-techniques
(scroll down to the double pointed needle video)

could you transfer half the ones you managed to cast on to a second needle, then do the rest on the new space created and then transfer them around so you have an even amount on each needle?

someone who has actually done this will be more help than me... I've just started the pattern with circs but think that's how I would try the dpns?

Help!

Just doing the waistband - again- and really struggling to get the 'knit' ribbing to line up after the k2tog yo.

The eyelet holes are there and the pearl rib is fine, but the knit ribbing pinches together after the yarn over row. Will this even out once I do a few more rounds?

I thought I'd got it sussed after ripping out the first waistband and starting again from scratch....

It will line up again as long as you are doing the k2, p2. Knit a couple of more rows & if it hasn't lined up, come back & we'll figure out why

Ok, forgive me if this has been asked before (laptop on a go-slow so it would take me all day to read through all the pages :-? ) but i'm a bit confused on the short rows bit. I can do them ok, but the measurements have thrown me. My ribbing is 2", as it says. But then it says after the first short row to work ss for 1". Fine, did that. But "work now measures 4" from c/o" has got me. Where has the extra inch come from?????

Please tell me its a typo :giggle: Or am i just completely missing something?
