I did exactly the same thing! I realised that I'd managed to pick the knitting up upside down! The waistband should be closed to you and you should be knitting down if that makes sense? Instead I'd picked it up so the working edge was closest to me. As long as you carry on purling you'll be fine. :D

It took me ages to work out what I'd done, I kept trying to knit and wondering why I was getting purls! :oops:

lol luckily i only did a couple of stitches and twigged i was going wrong - but i couldnt for the life of me work out what i was doing wrong! Its so obvious when someone else points out your mistake aswell - thats the best thing about this thread as so many of us make the same mistakes and theres always someone to help :) :hug:

Hopefully if i crack on this evenng i should almost get them finished :D

Also if any one else is about to help - i want to do a newborn / small pair next - im assuming i will need different lengths circs maybe? How will i do teeny legs? :-? Cheers :)

jenna, i asked the same thing a while ago becuase i wanted to do newborn ones for megans doll...anyway i never did get around to it but there was the thread~

I need to get cracking but i think im going to start with the medium sheepy pants pattern based on the measurements/size of the small longies I have from pixie knits for bump :) Any smaller and she will be out of them in a couple of weeks :-?

Cheers mdear :) I think its quite sensible to make them a bit bigger, all Sandys longies have always been huge on him when first on lol. Cant wait to get cracking :D

Using those measurements will you be able to do the legs on circs or will you have to use dpns? I havent tried dpns yet :-?

You might be able to do magic loop knitting? Which sounds and looks so much harder than it is.
