I've just done a pair of longies with a few rows of moss stitch and then a picot bind off, that looks pretty and doesn't roll.

0k need to go and buy wool and needles. Metal needles or bamboo needles? think i'll use DK for these longies. They are my first knitting experience! Do you think i should just get some cheapo wool or not?

When you join in, you'll need to cast on 140 stitches. Then you can follow section 1 with no problems.
