Geordie_Girl wrote:But I don't get how, if I'm only working one inch on top of my short rows (which don't count if I'm measuring the front anyway) and before that I only worked one round immediately after the ribbing, knitting one inch ends up measuring 2 inches from the ribbing. Shouldn't it measure 1 inch (and 1 row) after rib and 3 inches total?

Am I missing something (very possible :giggle: ) or is there a mistake?

Um that would me being not able to add. Yes it should measure 3".

becky1978 wrote:Joeli, if I asked very nicely would you possibly help me work the pattern out to get it right please as I can just about follow a pattern let alo e try and adapt one!!

My gauge was 9 stitches per 2 inches so I cast on 92 stitches. I then put markers in for my short rows after 23 stitches and 69 stitches.

Basically if you were looking at it as a circle , my crotch is wrong by 180 degrees at the mo if that makes sense, so I need to graft another quarter of a turn on I *think*

Just want to let you know I've seen this and will figure it out now.

Mareth--are you still on the short rows? The pattern has them in the wrong spot. But I'm going to give a fix for becky and you if you need one. Just tell me your gauge and how many you cast on.

What do you think is the best thing for me to do then?

My gauge is 10st per 2" and I cast on 100

Thanks :)

I've only done the first short row so far so it's not a huge deal for me to just frog that section and start after the ribbing with an amended pattern.
