that's how i did mine actually. i expected it to be really hard but it wasn't at all. thinking about attempting some shorties next, i made a soaker last week, but it's hooge, we call it his sleeping pants now, the rise is so high i can tuck his boobies in!

My first self knit longies had a very long rise too. I misread the instructions and measured the wrong way .... but they kept DS warm and snug.

hehe he has sleeping pants now, couldn't bear to frog them, he seems very comfy in them....

Not nappy related, but thought I'd join in (assuming that's ok with it not being nappy stuff). I started on a Citron shawl for myself today, I'm hoping it comes out a lot bigger than the pattern suggests and have plenty of yarn so keeping my fingers crossed (I'm using worsted, not fingering weight as the pattern calls for too).

annika-jane they are gorgeous! about tucking in his boobies, charlies disana are a bit like that as i got a huge size incase they felted.

finished the green pair, halfway finished last leg, but think i have knitters elbow! so taking a night off..

I'll take a better picture next time when there is more knitting to show Its a dress for Imogen, Rainbow Dress by Georgie Hallam (knitted in the round). The yarn is Luscious Little Somethings (LLS) yarn club - Plum Smash (its yummy) superwash meriono DK.
