I cant even remember what size i cast on, i think it was a small one but i think its turned out more a medium, i just got fed up half way through, i think because my fingers have een so swollen and i had left it sitting for over week. I need to keep going with things or i get fed up.

Steph, i cant work from charts at all, i prefer the pattern to be written down , its easier for me to memorise the stitches that way, what style of shawl are you after?

I made myself a Citron shawl and enjoyed it. There's no lace on it (I'm not really a lace person ) so once you'd worked a section it was really easy to just get on with it. It would be really easy to work to whatever size with whatever weight yarn too.
