I like the open bottom look, that's what caught my eye! How much yarn does it take? Would be thinking 0-3 or 3-6 size and have 270g aran

The Young Einstein in 0-3 months with a hood takes 300m and the 3-6 takes a teeny bit more. So, 270g of aran should be plenty.

Yes, WSS, Naomi's is an age two with extra length and took 300g aran exactly - the pattern is really for DK, but with the babyboo I didnt find it came out much bigger than the pattern stated - I used a size 4 needle when the patterns asks for 4.5 to compensate though

Latest pair of lonigies. Tried to do something different with the cuffs. Came out ok but very ad lib :giggle:

I think I knitted tighter and unfortunately I don;'t think they will fit her long which is a real shame as my fave colourway :(

These were meant to be longies but the 2 skeins appeared to be different weights, this wool is Lindon Merino(very similar to cestari) and it only comes in aran but after a couple of inches into the 2nd leg with a new skein i noticed it was thinner, more like a worsted, so they are now boardies for the summer :D

Some gorgeous woolies as usual :D I've been a bit quiet on the knitting front lately, trying desperately to get an essay written :-? But i did manage to finish my Girlie girl skirtie whilst waiting for dh (again :waiting: ) earlier. After my question the other day about making it shorter, i had the decision taken out of my hands by running out of wool :hohoho: I'll post pics later, just needs blocking :D

Finished aleshas oriental lily at lasearthere a couple of mistakes in it  I'm not really sure whether I like it or enjoyed doing it, has taken me a good few weeks and have very achy hands from getting cramp from doing it, also still not sure about the colour and whether it suits her, it also too short as a dress but as it very flared looks a bit odd as a tunic top x

You did the same as me, got the holes from the M1 :giggle: I only realised it wasn't part of the pattern when MIL watched me knit and told me i was doing it wrong

ETA I meant to say it looks lovely! Fantastic for a first proper knit :wine:

I love those longies- shame they seem like they wont last long though :( maybe when she outgrows them you can just rip them out and reknit into something new as you love the colour so much

Sammie - that is stunning!!!!!! I am not sure about Naomi's oriental lily either, I love it, but it just doesnt look that great on her shape - she is very narrow but quite rounded so it doesnt fit her shoulders right! Alesha looks amazing in it though  honestly it is beautiful and amazing for a first proper knit, well done - think a white pair of leggings and you will be all set

Lookforward to seeing the girly girl skirt!!!!

Aww breezy is gorgeous isn't it. Looks fab on Alesha!

I did the same thing with the M1. I had to frog back about 6in when I realised what I was doing wrong. So it's still unfinished. Just another 3in to go and then the sleeves which I'm doing short. :giggle:
