wow tory more cooking on ur needles already! i got needle boredom and have switched to a hook for a few days till my snugglebots trim comes, decided on doing another soaker, after seeing si wrestling to get one on taliesin yesterday. :giggle: nothing to exciting though, just thick wool in shades of green, the idea being it'll suck up some lanolin and be great for bedtime. i might post some pics at some point. do love crocheted soakers, i think they work quite well :-)

I finally finished the skirty :wine: I will post some action shots soon (over a pocket until it has been lanolised) :yahoo: I am really proud of it since it is the first skirty I have ever made

That's beautiful! I really should have a go at the ladybugz pattern. I bought it years ago and have never tried it.

Having a little think about the kitchener graft as linen stitch is K1 slip 1, so will need to adapt it a bit :-?

Loving the skirty!!

I've got a link to grafting in pattern somewhere, not sure if there's much about linen stitch on there.... http://knitlikeapirate.com/techniques/graft.shtml

I'm still plodding along with my Citron shawl. I'm up to around 444 stitches a row though so it's slow going. A 20 row repeat has 3 increases and 1 decrease. I've got lots of yarn to go though so will keep going

just out of curiosity, anyone know any good patterns to try for longies? i've not actually done any to a pattern yet, but am thinking of giving something with short rows a go. i figure after knitting about 5 pairs i should really give a pattern a go now :giggle: something knitted on the round though, i couldn't make sense of joeli's pattern, sure it uses dpns.

It's easy to convert a pattern from dpns to circs, just put all the stitches on one needle, I put stitch markers where the needle divisions would be in case I need to know.

Otherwise I found Itchyfingers or Wonderpants patterns best so far, I don't like the sheepypants pattern although I know lots do. And for short rows http://knitlikeapirate.com/techniques/graft.shtml is the bestest ever!!!
