Shhhhhh, I just bought lots of bamboo DK to use :hohoho: (it was only £1.30 for 50g thou)

Bamboo tends to 'grow' as it's not got great memory so it will stretch. To be completely honest..... It's probably not the best thing for a big item like a dress as it will lose it's shape. :(

I think the weight of the dress on the shoulders would stretch it out of shape. What does the pattern say? I know that the other Georgie Hallam patterns say whether or not you can use bamboo..... I am sure it would be fine for anything that doesn't 'hang' IYSWIM.

Hmmm..... the pattern doesn't say. Ask Ali what she thinks..... She's knitted lots of Oriental Lilies AND she is a big yarn nerd. :D

Hmmm..... Can you not hide it in her cupboard and pretend it's been there for ages? I have to do that with my opinionated madam.

Well she won't wear woolies because the tickle apparently  but she'll happily wear cardis! shame too as her little legs could do with some lanolin soaking over night :giggle:

Kel, I love love love the cardi - well done :wine: it looks so great with your hand made buttons too and lovely on your little one!

Zala, what skirt is that? I haven't seen anything like that before, very nice!

Emily - lovely little wraps, cannot wait to see action piccies :giggle:

Stacey - wow don't envy you doing an OL in that size, I find they take and age to finish and that is the age 2 yrs :giggle:

Have recently made a soakerless juliette <my first> and a long sleeve maggies flower tunic with a hood.

I am currently knitting a bloom but as it is variagated yarn I am doing it without the lacework in the skirt.

Need to sort photo's :giggle: have added all my projects/photos to ravelry this morning but not those three!
