Oh thats a shame , you must be gutted. They are really great and it must be nice to try something else.
Are they toe up or top down, only asking cos i have some sock wool now but have never knitted socks before and am not sure where to start, also did you use DPN`s or circs?

I'm too chicken to try socks :giggle:

I'm just winding up my yummy kettle dyed LLS wool at the moment. Going to put Dawn's dress so one side (DK takes SO LONG to knit up!) and start a skirtie :giggle:

 Everyone,
Okay, so I am a very poor knitter and have never crocheted in my life before so be gentle with me...

I really really want to knit some longies. I've bought wool and needles (turns out they are the wrong ones after reading posts from early today :( ). I have to admit though I am really really scared to do it - don't know why as I have some cheaper wool I can practise with so I have nothing to loose.

Anyway, to delay the knitting I decided I would have a go at crotchet. Having watched about a hundred videos on YouTube I made Ewan some booties (which are too small   ) so then I thought I'd try a hat...

What do you think? Personally I think it needs a huge pom pom on the top but DH isn't going for that idea.

So now I've started crotched longies....

I've got some old white wool so though I would do a trim at the bottom of the legs and the waistband in that.
