So long as you've gone for the size which matches chest measurements and the knitters tension is right then it should be fine.

Poppy has both a 6 months and a 1-2yrs and both fit, the 6months is very short for her though now and lisa has knitted a 2yrs on for her now..

Lisa's knitting mine same size as Poppy's cos they are so close in age and Aoife is still smaller than average

Oh my I'm drooling over all of this - I sooooooooo need to get knitting!!!
Trouble is I'm doing my shawl and it's sooooooooooo slow as the yarn is lighter than sock weight I think and I'm so impatient
