I am very happy to finally be able to join this thread, finished my first ever knitting project on Sunday, a pair of longies for Miss Darcy :D I am not one for doing basic stuff like a scarf etc first would much rather throw myself in and learn as I go along and am so proud of myself for being able to make these, and can not wait to get started on my next project :wine:

Oh and the legs look slightly different lengths in the photo but they are actually the same length, the rise is very big as want them for over night nappies but think I may have made them a wee bit big as they come up to Darcys chest when pulled right up, but guess they will keep her tummy warm in winter hey :giggle:

ETA sorry for massive pic, I did resize it but photo bucket is not my best friend today

Well done :wine::yahoo: bet you are thrilled :D

Thanks, I am thrilled, they have been thoroughly lanolised and now just drying, can't wait to get to use them!
Have well and truly caught the knitting bug, just sat here winding my wool ready to start the Genevieve :wine:

Here's my small things romper so far, was getting it done really quick, this 3 evenings knitting about an hour to 2 hours each evening, but now it seems to be going slow, I think it's because I want to get started on a genevieve and know I have to finish this first :giggle:

Possibly the most boring thing i have knitted in a while, loved the pattern but hated the yarn, its a cheapy and only 20% wool so was really squeaky to knit with.
It s for nursery hence the cheap wool, i used 200g and only cost me £3 :wine:
I will definitely make this jumper again using wahm wool next time

 that yarn is lovely! I think it is an excellent plan - though for Bradley I customised it - he is 6 this month but did the age 4 chest and the age 8 arm and body length :giggle: It looks so funny laid out as is so long and skinny, but look gorgeous on :wine:
