Is it just pot luck how they knit up? They are really brown at the front but striped on the legs. Julie at TP made me a gorgeous pair of tailed longies that are striped all the way down (I'm not comparing my knitting to hers that would just be stooopid!) I just wondered if there was a skill to it :giggle:

Not quite pot luck but hard to predict as it depends on what you are knitting (and whether it is knitted in the round or flat) and the size you are making as to how the colours in the yarn will line up with each other. Two different sizes knitted from the same ball of yarn could look totally different - and as the legs are a different size to the body that is why they pattern differently. You can alter it by increasing or decreasing by a stitch or two if you really don't like how it is working up.

I think they look fab btw ;)

This is Eddie's Owlet jumper which I finished last night. It hasn't been blocked.

I think I joined the arms wrongly as I ended up with one owl too many.

I love that Owlet jumper - it's in my queue on Ravelry!

Little sister dress on the way for our next baby due in the next few weeks.
the pattern is a bit vague in places but I'm loving the yarn and colours (yarn is Bear and Pants angelcakes)

Also finished this Rhino romper for the baby but it turned out to be more like a 1 year old size

Realised I did the buttonholes on the front legs instead of the back legs - decided I could live with that!
We made the buttons ourselves using Fimo - hence the VERY homemade look of them!!!

Just thought I'd post pics of my latest projects - a cardigan for me, knitted in Fyberspates chunky 'Spring Greens' colourway using Ysolda Teague's 'Liesl' pattern. Pics don't do it any justice, as the colours are gorgeous. It's a swing style cardigan.

And my first ever longies! Knitted with Babylonglegs aran in 'Dark Rose' colourway using Little Turtle Knits 'Picky Pants' pattern.

Think they turned out well for my first ever longies! I'm really pleased with them.

Lovely projects, that owlet jumper is gorgeous, @Bugglyboo. @Cyrillia, those longies are lovely. I wish I had the money, time and patience to do a cardigan for myself. The yarn needed to cover my bust would be so expensive!

@laceybat, I would say that is gn, you can always make them more boyish/girly with a felted flower or car or something, and a matching tee. Are you finding out the sex?

Here are my latest - for a friends daughter, who was born just before Peanut.
