wow that shawl is wonderful i would never have the patience to knit anything big haha

What pattern/yarn did you use Shadow?

It's a Citron although the pattern calls for fingering weight and I used a worsted. The yarn was from Bethy (Jimmy Riddles) when she destashed and was an unknown that she dyed for me. It's a little darker irl but I couldn't get the colour right with the sun shining. It's quite fluffy and I'm thinking there's a little mohair in there. It didn't actually take that long to knit as it's quite an open material once finished. Wish I had more space as I'd like to block it more aggressively.

Just catching up on here - some great finished items. Well done to everyone, I am back on course with Imogens dress, for some reason I find myself doing other things in the evenings recently

I'm a bit embarrased to post my pictures as they look a bit feeble compared to some on here (Shadow your shawl is amazing, Stacey completely love the colourway), but I am proud of myself for facing my fears and getting this far!
The gusset is next and I'm scared!!!!



Annika, could you do a trim in a contrasting colour? You never know someone may have some left over if their stash they could let you have. FC for you hun.

oooh i really like the colourway hun! i have been doing joeli's pattern and must say, it's not as daunting as it looks, i never follow patterns for anything and found it okay. the worst bit was the short rows, but after being pointed in another direction on them they were fine. got some wool sorted, from the lovely lady at snugglebots, complete star she is so all's cool. am thinking of trying to start some scrappies soon maybe, i got a fair few different scrap bits now.

best thing to do with the pattern is jump right in. i found writing down how many of each line i'd done on the gusset increases helpful, mainly coz it's not quiet here in the easter holidays!

Help! I've found a small hole in my longies. I think I've done a "make one" wrong rather than dropped a stitch as it isn't coming undone and its in line with my second marker. Anything I can do or do I need to unravel it ?
