If you can do longies you can do a hoodie, there's not much to it at all. I know the pattern probably looks daunting when you read it through, but if you just c/o and get on with it it will all become clear. Go for it!!

Another great colourway Tory, what is it?

Here is my first ever attempt at scrappies, quite pleased so far even though a lot of the colours are similar. Weirdly when they are knitted up individually none of Archie's woolies look similar at all :-?

Thanks hun, its Seven seas dark merino dyed by the nappy garden :) with a black trim from pixie knits :) Black is a colour that I have always avoided in K's woolies but im really liking these! Just not sure how to make sure the stripy effect is similar on both legs? :-?

Love your scrappies...im banking bits and bobs to make some at some point!!

LIking that blue!!

Here's my latest finished item, although the legs are huge. I think I'm going to make another. It still needs blocking. I'm loving the striping!!!

And my current (well, one of them) wip, a little pinafore dress.

Shadow, they are both gorgeous, I especially love the dress.

Just not sure how to make sure the stripy effect is similar on both legs? :-?

I always start a new ball/skein to do the legs so I know it won't run out halfway through and end up different.

i just end up continuing from one leg to the other tory, coz in theory if the pattern repeat is on one leg and u have plenty of wool from the same dye batch them u should get the same effect both sides. i find sometimes though that i get a wierd effect on the top bit, but quite cool on the legs, on the scrappies i just did there is some bright green in there that section came out the same on each leg, but not the same for the top half.

If your yarn has 4 colours repeated(that seems to be the commonest) always make sure that you are knitting the colours in the same order for both legs , so when you wind your balls up from the skeins just make sure they are wound the same ie the colours are going in the same order, does that make sense
