I am working on my DIY fairy atm but will be again soon for Kieren so will be able to post pics again!

Not posted on here for a while. I'm currently working on a Tropical Lily sun top in magicline cotton.



I've got 3 repeats of the lace pattern to do and then the rest of the pattern. I've got the hang of the repeats now, k3tog was a bit tricky at first (kept splitting the yarn) but I've got it now I think.

Should probably add that I am making size 2 and it could well be too big, oops, maybe for next summer

Well i started knitting last night Apart from a failed attempt at a small square when i was at school this is my first time lol. Sat myself down with some colinette yarn in front of youtube and i seem to have the hang of it now, well i havent done anything apart from cast on and the knit stitch yet, but im happy! I was a bit confused at first as my tail seemed to keep getting in the way on my first row but i persevered lol.

So this is what i have got so far I think i maybe dropped a stitch somewhere near the start but not bad for a first go?



I have already signed up to Beths lls yarn club, im doomed! Its so relaxing though i love it

Have a go at purling a row next. You have garter stitch there (which is knit both sides) but if you learn to purl you can then do stockinette stitch. Once you know those 2 thats all there is to it, just in different forms, get a pattern and make something

I've not been knitting long (learnt the same way as you) and I've made longies and shorties and a dress. Now I'm trying a suntop and feel great when I finish something, such an achievement.
