I'm after some help ladies If you please. I think my knitting must come out quite big. I recieved my small nappy garden longies today and the small ones I made are very big in comparason, likewise the ones I made for Sandy were too big too. How do I fix this? Is it smaller needles or something? Thankyou!

i size down on needles, or sometimes make smaller sizes, so if i want a small id make a newborn.
i tend to knit up big aswell.. my large night soaker is HUGE!! goes up to his armpits :hohoho:

Which? The top is a handspun from an HC swap - the lady I'm knitting for sent it. The hoody is Jimmy Riddles Kershet on superwash.

This is where you need to check your gauge and adjust needle size accordingly for your wool by the sound of it.

Im doing the smallest size i have a pattern for (its the tiny birds longies, ive tried and not done very well on circs so im sticking to straight needles just now). I was thinking of going down a size when i redo Sandys ones.

I havent actually checked my gauge  My pattern doesnt have a code for what needles to use for each gauge like Joelies one does, so if i just go down maybe one needle size does that sound about right?

I dont know what i would do without you lot keeping me right, thankyou!
