I thought it was the other way round - Moss is US, seed UK. I've just knitted a US pattern with moss stitch. I could be wrong though ;)

I've just finished a pair of mittens and have cast on a Sleuthing Hoodie! Have a hat on the needles too.

Just looked it up. Apparently there is an English and a US moss stitch & they are different.

Nah, I don't really see that it would make any difference aside from aesthetically. And even then not a great deal!

I really want to attempt this.... but I think I'm too rubbish. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/summer-affair

It looks fab! I love it in that yarn.

And just to chime in on the moss/seed stitch debate. In US terms:
Seed stitch = Row 1: k1, p1, Row 2: p1, k1
But there is even some confusion about what most stitch is as some people do moss stitch as:
Row 1: knit
Row 3: k1, p1
Row 2: knit
Row 4: p1, k1
And others do:
Row 1&2: k1, p1
Row 3&4: p1, k1

I've just knitted a pattern with the example with the knit row between and the pattern called it something else, garter moss stitch possibly. I ignored it though and carried on as normal
