My first few rows after a provisional cast on are a little loose, yes. I don't particularly like doing it, but I do find it easier than picking up stitches later - I hate doing that with a passion. I did search around quite a lot for methods and found this one easiest to use http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/FEATfall05TT.html It does say on there that the first row might be loose.

I've made a teeny mistakes in one shoulder line where I've missed a KFAB. You don't really see it so thinking I will fudge it slight on increases on that side. The perfectionist in me is telling me to frog though. :-? It's about 16 rows back. I'm not sure I'll be able to pick up the stitch well if I frog. They are all on the same front left shoulder line too. More annoyingly it's right back to the row where you join in the round so more of a pain to pick up. Think I'll have to fudge it. :giggle:

Oh and I'm completely loving the Pixieknits Serene in Alpaca Merino. It's a really good thickness, but will still be super warm.

I jave't been able to bring myself to pick mine back up since I bodged it last weekend :-?

Can't decide to take it on hol and start afresh, or make a fresh start when I get home and relax with something easier on hol!

I've frogged it completely. I hadn't done a provisional cast one and made another mistake in the last row. :giggle:

Is anybody doing the sleuthing hoodie? I've not bought yarn for it yet, still can't decide whether to do this or one of my hoodie patterns I already have here :-? They are not knitted in the round though and I can't be faffed with sewing up the bits any more :giggle:

Do the Sleuthing hoodie  I would always go for seamless over sewing up seams :giggle:

I can't wait to see these all being made! Mine will have to wait a few weeks as i've got too many customs to do first

I'll be doing the Sleuthing Hoodie again soon I think, just waiting for some yarn to arrive. It is quite a nice knit although I've not made any other hoodies to compare it to. I'd go for seamless over sewing up any day too!

Hmmm I'm about to start and just picking my needles and it says 16" circulars, that seems VERY small?
