I am using 24" circulars for mine and they are a perfect size but I am thinking of going up a size for the lacing on the bottom of the skirt :knit:

You would need the 16" for the sleeves, but 24" would be better for the body part definitely.

I'm doing the sleuthing hoodie too, just gotta go buy the pattern lol! Not a fan of seams here either, plus I am thinking about time scales - a 6-12m sleuthing hoodie will take far less time to knit than a 4yr riding hoodie! I'm hoping my yarn knits up nicer than it looks on the skein...can't wait to see everyone's pics :D

I'm going to do a Sleuthing Hoodie, in the 18-24 months size. I'm just debating whether the 300g of Aran I have will be enough if I dye some contrast trim or if I should just by some more yarn. Hmmmmmm decisions......................

I persevered with the Provisional cast on (Thanks to Shadows link) and so far so good, I think the mistake I made was using 1 needle and spare yarn ... Once I used 2 needles together and spare yarn the next few rows were far tighter than my original attempt!
I'm on about the 5th row of my skirt now and I can see this bit taking forever :giggle:

That looks gorgeous. You're doing better than me. I've frogged mine twice now. Well not all the way the way back the 2nd time, but I keep missing out a stitch here or there and I end up with wrong number of stitches between shoulders. I'm at about 14 rows. :giggle:  14 correct rows though. :D Mine will be done by Christmas!

that looks lovely Frances :) I haven't even started my soaker yet  I reckon I'm going to wait and see all the mistakes you guys make, then hopefully by the time I start there will be a fool proof set of instructions here - I've already learnt that I need to learn a provisional cast on (didn't even know there was such a thing!) :giggle:

Frogging lol ...... just before I started the empire band I realised I had increased to 38 stitches for the arms when I was only meant to go to 32 :x frog 1 then I found I had too little stitches for the ribbing :x frog 2 :hohoho: :hohoho:

Danika! For the prov cast on the link Shadow posted further up the thread is great I kept getting confused with the videos on you tube as they were just going way to fast for me
