Short row tutorial

Postby babyroo » Wed Mar 26, 2008 8:55 am

This is an excellent guide (with pictures) on how to do perfect short rows.

If you have any 'holes' from doing it this way, or any other way, you can usually get rid of them by redistributing the slack wool along the row - basically pulling the extra wool through each stitch so the hole not noticaeable.

Thanks Ali, I will have a look at that later when I have the knitting to hand :D I think it is the getting the wool on the right side that I struggled with iyswim. Just couldn't understand why one turn looks fine but the other looks funny :? But as they say practice makes perfect!

I still find that one turn looks a bit neater than the other, but practice does help.

Guys, I am so glad it's not just me who ends up with short rows that are full of holes and weird twisted bits! :hohoho:
Will need to have a look at that link later . . . . .
Thanks for posting it!
