Probably a really silly question, but where do you get normal lanolin?

Sorry, again
Shall I lanolise wool after washing with wool wash?
My wool wash does not contain lanolin, at least it is not written so. It has some other fats...

if you use water and lanolin alone then you will get greasy water which is fine to use to lanolise your woollies (the water and lanolin will not mix)

i tend to use a small amount (say half a teaspoon)of soap (wool wash or basic baby shampoo) with the lanolin and a bit of hot water, shake that up and then put it in the sink water, this gives the milky appearrance and just means that the lanolin is dispersed more throughout the water

either way works fine :D

ok so im washing and lanolising for the first time. iv got 3 pairs of shorties n some longies to do. im doin them all individually as the colours all run. iv washed all and am on to next step. i put 1 pair in a bowl with hot water ( not too hot) and then i mixed 1/2 a tsp of solid lanolin with some boiling water and a little squirt of bubbly bath. Theyve been in since about 10am ish this mornin.
Silly question but how do you know if they done enough and have i used enough lanolin etc, i dont have alot it was only a lil bit i got sent just to try, i got told there would maybe be like a film over the water where its all mixed but i cant feel anything. and should i take them out now or are they ok in the bowl till tomoro ?
