Magic loop or DPNs?

Postby Hannahboo » Tue Aug 09, 2011 4:28 pm

I am almost finished the hips/bum part of my first pair of longies :wine: but just trying to decide whether I should get some DPNs or use magic loop technique for the legs? Which would be easier? I have used circular needles so far. If using DPNs what is the best size for knitting the legs?
Thanks

I hate dpns with a passion, only ever use circulars, so I'd go for magic loop.

Magic loop here too - much easier :-)

The only thing I use DPNs for is the icord!

I use a circular needle for the icord too! I think I own one pack of dpns, but haven't a clue where they are.

The main thing that puts me off DPNs is that they look really complicated to use :-?

I use 30cm circs for legs (depending on size) but failing that I would magic loop. I can't use DPN's but when I do I usual lose them. I lost one down the back of the washing machine and when we moved house I expected to find it but it was no where to be found

Not fiddly in the slightest. I put a stitch marker on the second stitch of the first dpn so I know which is the beginning of the row & then it is just like ordinary knitting. Magic loop really annoys me because it takes me ages to pull the stitches through & then I have the row done in a short minute & I'm pulling stitches through again.
