Dragon Wing shawl

Finally finished my Dragon Wing Shawl! It took ages knitting 4ply sock yarn, but once i got into the swing of the pattern it wasn't too bad.




It's not a very practical shawl, a bit small to be of much use really but I like it!

I only ever really knit with sock or laceweight, on the odd occasion I knit with DK I am astounded at how quickly it knits up - maybe I should try aran, I'd have a real shock!

yes you should try aran, even DK is too thin for me I've been knitting hats with bulky yarn recently, 10sts per 4 inches and I can hardly believe that a hat can come out of it in under 3 hours!

I have been knitting my mother's Christmas scarf since the beginning of time so that sounds very appealing!!!
