Party Food

What sort of things do you normally provide?
We are going to do the usuals like filled rolls, sausage rolls, fruit, cakes etc but what else that is simple?

pizza slices, quiche, samosas and bahjis etc, vegis and dips?

At the Mouse's party, we were at a play barn and the children had a hot dog each, with hula hoops and wotsits, veg sticks and dips on the table, and then a yogurt, a piece of fruit and a slice of cake.

Went down very well, and made me realise how over-complicated most party teas are!

We also like mini jellies with fruit in

Bread sticks and veg sticks with dips.
Crisps.
Mini sausages.
Sliced pizza.
Sandwiches.
Flavoured cous cous.
Cup cakes as well as the birthday cake.

We're quite lucky that ds's birthday is in the summer so we usually have a bbq party. It's great being able to offer hotdogs and burgers and it means i don't have to spend ages making sandwiches

i bought all the food in rather than making stuff for DD's 1st birthday party. the things that went down well: mini pizzas or cut up pizza, chocolate animals, bread sticks and angel delight in see-through plastic cups with squirty cream and hundreds and thousands on xxx
