Crisps

Postby Dora » Tue Sep 18, 2012 9:52 am

My lo loves eating crunchy textures so is into baby crisps when ever he gets offered them by the g-parents. Id like to make a better alternative with the same eating texture but with some nutrition at least so hopefully guilt free. Any ideas? I was thinking veg but have no idea about how/what temp/method (not totally sure he'd like them either as he hates raw carrot etc) but i would also do made from scratch as well. Thanks in advance x

I used to love apple crisps as a kid. Easy to buy, but pretty easy to make as well:

You could try parsnip, carrot and beetroot crisps.

we make beetroot,parsnip,carrot & sweet potato ones - only veg N will eat!! http://m.goodfoodchannel.co.uk/recipe/5 ... le-crisps/
you may have to play about with oven temp & timings a bit.The crisps tend to get crisper as they cool down
