Mince in slow cooker?

Planning cottage pie tonight but we're off out soon so can I stick mince, veg & stock in slow cooker for a few hours? I can thicken when I get home & do the mash for the top :D

Yes, it'll be fine. To thicken it you can always add some flour to the raw meat & vegetables and stir it in before adding the liquid.
