Saucepans

Postby ems101 » Wed Jan 09, 2013 5:14 pm

Im buying some new saucepans for my sister for her first flat, and I want to get her some good ones, but there are so many brands now under famous chefs names and im not convinced that price=quality!

I want 2 sauce pans and a smallish frying pan, with metal handles. I want to spend under £100

Any reccomendations?

John Lewis Classic own brand are good.

I am looking for some new pans myself and I'm going for either the Raymond Blanc ones or Le Crueset stainless steel.

Yeah I would say copper bottom is good but I would say its good to feel the weight to cos some just have a copper coatin which is pants. They need to have a fairly heavy guage bottom imo.
We upgraded to lecreuset for our wedding presents. I would like to think they will last for ever. I really couldn't go back now. I'm all about the cast iron enamel ware now :)

This would be perfect if it was a bit cheaper! http://www.ecookshop.co.uk/ecookshop/pr ... 900&m=5&d=

My mum has some lovely stainless steel pans, will try and remember the name.
