Garlic press that works?

Postby clothmama » Fri Oct 02, 2015 7:32 am

I've been struggling for years to find a decent garlic press, I got one recently that looked good and it is worst I've ever had!!! Has anyone got a good one and if so where did you get it?

I ve got a Le creuset one that someone bought for us years ago. It's great but I have no idea if they still make it!
It's so easy to use and clean.

The one I've got now just doesn't actually squash out! It looks great, really sturdy etc but just doesn't work!!! I've had similar troubles with other ones too! I have looked at them but didn't think they looked too fabulous! Might grab one next time I'm there to try!

Ohhh I'll have a look and see if I can see what they do. I'd be happy to spend a bit on something that I can keep for ever!

2 votes to Ikea then!! I just thought they looked a bit 'wobbly' :lookround: but of course looks can be deceiving!

Bucking the trend here, but I often use a mini cheese grater instead. I have tiny one that's meant for nutmeg an similar. Or crush under my biggest knife.
My ikea one was great for a bit, but fell apart really quickly :(
