DD1 has her own room, and dd2 is still co-sleeping with me. Sometimes I wonder how to get her out of my bed, but mostly I still like her there, and she loves it too! But when we do move her out, she'll need to go into dd1's room and they'll have to have bunk beds. But at what age can a little girl go on a top bunk? She can climb ladders alright, she's 5 now, can she go in one anytime?
Oooo that's great, didn't know it could be that young! Is it one of those super high ones? Maybe I have the wrong idea, but I think I've seen super high ones and not so high ones.
Aidan went in a cabin bed at 4.5, he was fine, no accidents. Callum is 2 and can quite easily climb it but scares the b'jesus out of me whilst up there, definately can't leave him unsupervised yet. It's the one reason he's still in a cotbed as they share a room atm until my sister moves out.
For us - it'll be a long time before James goes into a bunk. We're lucky and they have their own rooms - but he's a sleep walker!!!! So although he'd love a high sleeper, I just dont dare risk it.
If your little one is able to climb up & down the ladder and sleeps soundly up there, then go for it!
