Really, mother?!

Just picked Scarlett up from my mums, she has been there 2hours having a play (this is a rare occurrence i might add)

...when i arrived mum presented me with a short written list (two phrases) that Scarlett mispronounced.

Telling me i should watch her for it and pick her up on it. She is 4 ffs and has an amazing vocabulary, confidence and clarity in speaking. There very few words/phrases she mispronounces. I cant believe she thought to write it down and make an issue from it.

I'd have told her to stick it!

OMG can't imagine what my response would be to that....... Is it so hard to remember what it's like to be little & not be perfect at everything? x

I love those cute mispronunciations, they are all part of childhood. to parents picking up on things like that though.

Does she work with children? My MIL does and it sounds like something she would do...

DS3 is 5 and still says stuff wrong despite correcting him

Sounds v similar to Orla - brilliant vocab, sentence structure, confidence, creative and mature use of language - but mispronounces 2 sounds (th and y) sometimes. Like you we aren't making a big deal of it. As if it would go unnoticed!
