Lowest balance bike? update pics page 1

Postby mamavan2 » Sat Sep 29, 2012 6:28 pm

I'm looking for a balance bike for my 19 month old DD (she is 83 cm and here legs are about 29 cm).
She took her sisters scooter and walked around. But it's too big for here.
It looked really cute, big sister on here balance bike (she finally figured she can lift here feet :giggle: at almost 4)
and litlle sister walking around with the scooter.
The balance bike we have is way to big and heavy for DD2.
So far I found:
chillafish bunzi:

I like that it can be used as a 3 and 2 wheel bike but wondering if it's big enough.

starts at 29 cm, to big?

starts at 28

My DH thinks that it's oke for here to use the scooter but I feel she would be better of with a propper balance bike.

What do you think?

==================

I showed the chillafish to DH and since it was on sale in a shop nearby he said that I could order it

Hope to collect it on monday and make some action pics!

We want to get Eddie a balance bike but even though he's 91st centile, his legs are teeny tiny.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what the more experienced ladies have to say.

The Chillafish seat is at 22 cm in 3 wheel mode and 25 cm when it's in 2 wheel mode. Might be an idea for the (very) little ones. Another thing I like about this one that it's only 2,39kg ( the other two are 3,3).

We got one from toys r us for James' 2nd birthday. He's on the 2nd centile & petite for his age.
What you need is one with 10inch wheels and an adjustable seat.

Balance bikes are fab! James has learnt to ride a proper bike without the need for stabilisers at the age of 3yrs 5months - it only took him 20mins to learn.

Ours was only £25 for toys r us!

I've heard good things about puky too, our neigbours have one for theire daughter but I think it's still to big for my DD2.
10 inch bikes are very rare around here, I saw one and the seat hight was 31 cm so no luke there either.

So far I like it,
Image
She can use it without help

She likes to use it for here favorite toy
It feels solid and when she gets it a bit better I can turn it into a balance bike. It won't last as long as they other to ,but since we already have a biger one, I don't mind.
It fits here now and that was the most importent for me,
