So I told him that the lady was crying because she was very happy to have her baby, but also that having the baby hurt her a bit. So he said: "well I guess you wont cry because your baby is coming out of your tummy and not your bottom."

He was quiet for a bit and then asked if him and Anna also came out of a small hole - to which I replied that yes they did.
I generally talk quite openly about boy and girl bits, and we call them what they are and not silly names. But I felt that if I told him exactly where the baby would be coming out, he'd ask the next question which is how did the baby get in your tummy in the first place! And wasnt quite ready to have that talk with him yet.
Has anybody else had to explain birth to the older sibling? Its been nice that Joshua is now old enough to really be aware of a baby coming, especially compared to Anna who is still more or less unaware, but at the same time I dont know how much information to give him at this stage.
