Ella has lots of different soft toys to pick to take into bed. A big dog, eeyore, a rabbit and her doll are all favourites. She doesn't have a night light and DH seems to think she's better without one. There's just the blue light on the monitor and mobile type lights just always had her standing up as a much younger toddler wanting to grab. Might be worth getting her one though. DH doesn't get home until 6pm sometime and by the time they've had a bit of time together and we've had tea, it's 7.30 or 8 if she's putting bedtime off. I'll try to think of other things to make her bed a more appealing place. Maybe a BV / minkee blanket or something like that. I think she just wants to be up knowing what's going on.

She's started waking in the night and getting out of bed and wandering through, which she's never done before. She always just yelled for us. The other night I woke to hear her clattering around a bit and last night woke with her at the bottom of our bed before we told her to climb up and in. I don't have an issue co-sleeping with her still. It's more just annoying when DH gets up and usually she wakes then and wants to follow him about straight away.

Oh thats a shame, as I think she would really benefit from an earlier bedtime. It must be hard weighing up the time she needs with daddy, with the need for earlier sleep. Is there any way you can get her to nap again? x

I agree... it is a shame that you cant rbing bed time forward and it sounds like she is just shattered and thats why she starts going mental... i know that Megan would be a living nightmare if she was still awake at 8pm

She's napped the last few days, but just because she been ill. If she naps though she's up even later in the evening, which DH doesn't appreciate. She won't go down until 8.30 or 9 if she naps in the day. Can't bring bedtime forward by the time DH is home, we've eaten and gotten settled and her ready for bed. She mucks about a bit in the evening as she knows it's bedtime. Last night I had to put on a stern voice and tell her to let Daddy change her for bed, which she did then quite readily.
