It's not rocket science but...

Connor has been so much more pleasant to be around today since we spent the afternoon playing snakes and ladders and shopping list game, doing jigsaws, letting him do his own thing (within reason ) with the art stuff, etc. instead of telling him to play with his trains while I try to get some chores done . So today's housework has been nothing more than a nappy wash and cleaning the loo, but we've had no temper and tears, from either of us, so sod the housework

That is so good I need to learn to play with my kids, I never do tbh, I find it borning and usually just let them get on with it That's really bad issn't it They are usually playing outside though to be fair!

I get Gracie to help me with the house work, she dusts and helps hoover, either by pushing it or sometimes she stands on it and I push her about We do jigsaws etc but she just pulls them apart and legs it with the bits

Tory, we don't play with Kieran and Anna either, they are always outside so don't worry about that so many kids these days don't or can't play out due to where they live.
