Deodorant?

Those of you with older children, what age (roughly) did they start needing deodorant? And ok, the smell is a rather obvious sign, but did you give them deodorant at the first whiff or when it started getting really noticeable? I thought I caught the odd whiff from my eldest a while ago, but have just realised that it's not him at all but my 7yr old Surely not at 7yrs?

Kieran started wearing it at 8, he doesn't wear it every day and wasn't so much as smelling of body odour but just general what we call boy stick, it is his feet though, yak!!

This is definitely an armpit smell. I've not smelt boy-feet yet thankfully

My eldest at 10 started using deo-rock....peer pressure me thought until she forgot one day

Our boys have needed it from about 8 - they honked of sweat, especially my younger one who is very active. I couldnt believe they needed it that young.

We have double trouble - sweaty armpits and stinky boy feet

7 just feels sooooo young. dh and I were both rather early starters with puberty though so I guess I was expecting it sooner rather than later, but 7? Where are my babies

Oh god didnt realise I may have this to contend with so soon. Im sure I never started with deo til I was 9 or 10 but I remember my df saying he had to shave from 12 so no doubt he prob used deoderant from 9 or so too.

I think I will get him to use pitrok, Im not into his stinking of all that lynx rubbish etc.

Definitely going the natural route here too although I didn't get on with Pitrock at all so will opt for something else. Think I'll talk to dh about this later and also keep my nose aware to see if it's a constant or just occasional smell.
