I was talking to Amanda about this on Friday, and we were saying the main problem is when you are trying to focus on something that requires your attention - then the constant jabbering puts you off so much.

Martha has this habit of preceding every sentence/ question with "Mummy?" even tho I am stood right next to her and we have just had a discussion!!

They are so good at drawing you into a conversation too arent they. Some days I have a really dry throat from talking so much. Poor Max cant get a word in edgeways.

Anna never ever shuts up, she goes on and on and on and on alllll the time :giggle: she even talks in her sleep, she waits until DH and I are having a conversation and then it is "Muuuuuum" or I step a foot into or bathroom and she shouts "MUUUUUUUM", Gracie is following in her steps and jabbers all day, so much as I would love to say it will pass in our experience with girls it gets worse BUT with G having delayed speech I appreciate her constant jabbering most of the time  :giggle:

DH did say to me today (just after we had both shouted in unison to Martha to just BE QUIET A MINUTE while we were at a kids playground) that "this is our longed for daughter that we waited years for" :giggle: we did both have a guilty laugh.......

I think all parents say that Ruth the amount have time we ahve yelled "be quiet or shhhht" and then I have said better that than a mute child so whilst it grates on you at times as it is so constant we should be thankfull for a precious chatter boxes

Yep I've got another one here and she'll be 7 at the end of the year  Ruby doesn't stop talking from the minute she gets up until she goes to sleep. I've also been guilty of asking her to be quiet  She even has a full on conversation with people at the till when we're out shopping :giggle: Elliott definitely didn't talk as early as my other 2 as he just couldn't get a word in edge ways  It is waring at times but I think if we're all honest we wouldn't change them for the world, just maybe turn the volume down some days :giggle:

It's not just girls either - Tyler jabbers away from the second he opens his eyes in the morning. If I don't answer him imediately he repeats himself over and over again until I do. DH drives me mad because he just doesn't seem to hear him sometimes - on the rare occasion that I get a lie in I hear Tyler repeating himself over and over again  :x
