ME Sandys S for newborn?

I'm expecting again and trying to build a newborn fitted stash. I don't see very much XS Sandy's in the classifieds and was wondering-would size S be small enough for a newborn or will it only fit later on?

S sandys are generously sized (there isn't an M, they go from S to L) so they definitely won't fit a newborn.

smalls are huge, I can still get a small on Evie *just*, I think she was at least 2 months before they fit and she was average size(7lb 7oz)

Well, I do hope I will be able to make a decent stash until January. I'm on the hunt for Diddy diapers, Bimbles and XS Sandies
