swaddlebees velour

Postby tracedw » Tue Jul 28, 2009 8:27 pm

Has anyone tried swaddlebees velour pockets, they are a fitted nappy with a pocket to stuff as well as needing a wrap.
My Babykind order arrived today andi was v disappointed with the nappy :( :(
They are very low slung ,almost like hipsters, not right for my lo who is 98th centile for length and 4 months old.
What experiance has anyone had with these? I quickly tried the nappy on him(before he wet it) but it was a strange fit.
Surely boys need a bit more padding up front.
I can exchange, any ideas because i really wanted this nappy to work.

I actually really like them, though they won't necessarily be right for your LO. I liked that I could use them with no insert if I just needed something for an hour or two (say between dinner and bath), or stuff them with something if I needed them to last 3 hours or so. You can also stuff more in the front to cope with front wetting. The medium fit DD for ages, she could wear an M or L at the same time (probably up to around 18 months, maybe longer but I think that's when I sold my last one - nothing to do with the nappy, I just needed to make some room and had gotten hooked on fancier nappies ).

I don’t think the pockets are as popular as the swaddlbees ov fitted sized ones (don’t know why though) but the swaddlbees ov fitted are being discontinued, really sad cos the newborn one was the very first nappy I got... :(

What insets are you using for yours I found the sb hemp to work well...

I just ordered one tonight, one of the one size :-? I will let you know what I think. The reviews on here were good though & I have always been a fan of swaddlebees so I thought I'd try a two part as pockets are doing my head in this time for some reason!
