...and Theo's skin is getting all red round the front and his willy...help?

I'm new to this so might be missing something vital? I bought new tots bots organic cotton nappies (which I washed once before using) and some second hand wraps. Apart from at night, I've changed him roughly every couple of hours. As I said, am I missing something? :-?

What sort of red? Just red coloured or like a rash?
It's normal to take time to get used to something new, but if it's just pinkish red skin, no irritation, spots, etc, then it will probably just be that, nothing else. My boys used to get it if we had to switch to disposables for any reason.

Maybe try a liner? dans skin goes pinky with a material thats bumpy against his skin, like cotton terry or bamboo terry, not sore just pressure marks, a liner put a stop to it

Thanks for the replies! The skin is just pinky red, no bumps or spots. I'll just watch it and see then. Am ordering fleece and bamboo liners from amazon anyway so might try that.

BTW, are liners different from boosters? It's a whole new world, this... :D

Liners aren't absorbent - they are merely used as a stay dry layer to keep the wetness away from baby's skin and also to facilitate poo removal. Boosters are absorbent and are used to add extra absorbency to the nappy.
