Best onesize fitted

Postby happytails » Sat Oct 23, 2010 1:33 pm

Ok so this is going to differ for everyone but would like to see what people prefer

What has fitted well the longest? Through baby changing shape etc. Fitted the earliest/longest out of the others you have tried. Most absorbent? That sort of thing?

We have only used Goodmamas, Piddle poddle (which i find really low rise/wide in crotch), Puddlekins OS and The WN OS fitted they did which was an awful fit :(

TIA x

Totsbots stretch (not strictly onesize as the do a smaller size 1 for newborns) the size 2 is BTP, and fitted my LO from about 6 weeks and still fits well at 9 months, not very pretty but who sees them under a wrap anyway?. The main reason they fit so well on a smaller baby is that they are sooo squishy so fit nicely between the legs making them less bulky. They have quite a high rise too x

I''ve been quite impressed with our BubuBébé for Iris. The three soakers can all be used independently, so you can easily reduce bulk for a smaller baby, but they have lots of absorbency for an older one. I've found the fit fine on Missy, but didn't get one until she was about 2, so no idea how they'd work out for a littley. I think they'd be worth a try, though.

Heh I'm going to be awkward and say none!

Bamboo baby beehinds are fab for nights on tiny LOs are great like Hanna says but once she grew they were an awful fit and we don't get on with front-snap nappies at all now so that means that pretty much all OS nappies are out!

That said I did borrow a goodmamas recently from Eleanor and it was a pretty good fit on Grace so there is hope yet

They are fab for littlies too! I have used Bububebes for Findlay since he was about 5 months old I think (so prob about 7 1/2 lbs??) and I love them! F is a really heavy wetter so I use all 3 layers of inserts and just fold them so that all the extra insert length (as he is still on the newborn setting) is folded over in front of his willy to give extra absorbancy. Yes they are bulky on tinies with all 3 inserts in and folded over (so basically 6 layers of inserts!) but I would imagine they are a lot less bulky if you take out some of the inserts as I would guess that a newborn doesn't wee very much.

Hmmm... we didn't get on at all well wit the Bamboo Baby Behinds when Erin was much smaller (we started trying out different types/makes of nappies from ~3 months). They didn't fit quite right, especially round the leg, and the poo tended to squirt out the sides :-? They do fit her ok now though! I randomly decided to try it again just this week, with much better results :D
By far & away the best all round fit and the ones she seems most comfortable in are the Little Comfort Bamboos.
Not sure how well they'd fit from teeny-tiny as we didn't use cloth nappies from the outset, but at 3 months, Erin wasn't particularly big and they've fitted well since then :D

Definitely Bububebe, they still fit Jas now, and if you take the soakers out they fold down into a teeny, adorable newborn size :D
