Dunk'n'fluff help please :-)

Postby LynniferT » Fri Sep 30, 2011 10:47 am

I bought this medium dunk'n'fluff pre-loved to see if a medium is a good fit on DD....
Image

Now my problem is... I have ordered 3 more mediums (BV and knit prints) and from all the reviews thought that DD would be in them till potty training, but comparing the medium dnf to our monkey snuggles and goodmamas it is shorter in the rise and does not look like its going to last that long

Should I get a large or is there 'growing room' in the mediums...
Image

DD is nearly 14mths, in 9-12mth clothes and her measurements are 16 waist, 16 rise and 10 thigh. she's not walking yet just crawling and cruising so could drop a little weight, but might not!

what do you you think... will a medium last til potty training or should i change my order to a large?

(apologies about pics...photobucket wont let me rotate)

Gosh my mediums will never last to potty training - my 6 month old is fitting them well atm, but she will definately outgrow the rise in a few months. I guess it depends on your lo's shape though - all my kiddies are long bodied so I have always needed high rise nappies :D

My dd is farily light (was the 25th percentile last time she was weighed, but that was 6m ago). She's reasonably tall though. I don't know her measurements.

She's 18months at the moment.

Her small dnf's fit until about 12-13 months, and mediums she's still wearing but i noticed the one she put on this morning looks more like undies that nappy - it's about 4-5cm below her belly button. I'm hoping to make them last though as she's starting to tell us when she's going to poo so will get her a potty on the weekend and see how we go. Don't really want to fork out on more if they're only going to be used for a couple of months.

My ds was her size at 6m though, and he didn't potty train until nearly 3.

I think it would be fairly unusual for someone to be potty training and still fitting the mediums.

ummm...i think i might have to change my order to larges then, only issue will be if they don't fit her because they are too big?

Mediums fitted my DD until she potty trained (this time last year). She'll tall - 75th percentile for height - and so the nappies did end up low slung on her. But they still worked for us! She's a skinny miss, though. Can't help with whether to change to larges - they would have drowned Missy, so we never had any.

Our DD was in larges when she toilet trained on her 2nd Birthday, she is long and very skinny
BV is usually a lot bigger fitting that say a cotton outer x

I am having the same issue at the moment as have just ordered a medium as we have mediums already but now worried she will grow out of them soon but large says from 30lb and I think they would be huge on her. My DD is 15 months and approx 23-24lb and has only gained about half a Lb in the past 6 months as she never sits still!!!!

My daughter went into large DNFs at about 25-26 lbs. She outgrew the mediums shortly thereafter due to the rise issues. She's not that tall, just long bodied and still has a nice round tum.
