Would you take them back?

Postby girlinleeds » Mon Mar 21, 2011 3:43 pm

i bought a pair of boots from asda on the 28th feb and noticed yesterday that the heel has come away from the boot so there's a hole in it, looked at the other one and the same thing is happening. i don't have the receipt but do have a bank statement showing that i bought something at that asda which i know was the boots as it's the one near dh's work and i don't normally go there. i have worn them quite a bit but they don't look worn out or anything, would you take them back, i've had them less than a month???

You can try, no harm at all in that.
I think they will prob offer an exchange out of good will, if they were £40+ I would be miffed x

Don't they have some kind of 100 day guarantee on clothing and footwear? Or has that ended? I'd still take them back and a copy of your bank statement to show them.

They are faulty and working at Asda, and knowing the refund policy, id be shocked if you didn't get an Exchange / refund onto a gift card. They will probably refuse cash back though.

Yes take them back, they are not fit for purpose according to the Sale of Goods Act.

Yes take them back.
Asda are normally really good with things like that, my Mum got out of her car in their carpark straight into a massive puddle and her suede boots were soaked, Asda gave her a pair of boots of her choice and paid for her boots to be professionally cleaned.
