Children's craft/creative supplies and storage

Postby scarlet » Thu Oct 27, 2011 11:18 am

DD is starting to really getting into creative/ craft play - painting , glueing, sticking ( splogging , make your favourite things). ect.
I'v been picking up a few bits and bobs in the pound shop when I see them. But just wondering where you get card and things for sticking ect from. I'm not wanting to spend a fortune , but looking for some interesting and creative bits and bobs.

Also how to you store your children's craft supplies. So far ours are in a shoe box and plastic bag.Which is a bit messy and also I'm running out of room. I'm going to start keeping them in the cupboard under the stairs , to keep it out the way.

Pencils and crayons stay out but wanting to store playdoh, paint, craft supplies away so they don't just chucked all over the floor.

Thanks ladies.

We are at the same point lots of craft bit in the flat now. I got an old school desk. The double ones with the lift up lids
My old primary school where selling them off. I store all Jacobs paper craft bit, glue, paints anything really even his aqua doodles mats. It's great as he can use the desk to do his crafts and it's going to be useful in the future for home work as well :D
You can get old desk like this on ebay

We have a big art box for everything at the moment in which everything as kept. It's a lidded plastic box with an arty label on.
Once we've moved properly I'm going to get a set of drawers to keep all the art/craft stuff in which is more organised than having everything together in 1 box.

Something like this:
