I've read it but best book I read last year was December by Elizabeth Winthrop (with another online book club)

Also with that book club read Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O'Neill, harrowing but incredibly well written book about an eleven year old girl living with a drug addict father etc

What about something by Alexander McCall Smith? I've read quite a few of the No 1 detective agency series and a few of the scottish series too. I like his characterisation and they are quite light books to read - IMO ideal for a cold, grey, damp February.
