Wing droop...how to avoid it?

I've borrowed a popper fastening Lil Stinkie (thanks Nicola :D ) but when I tried it today the wings were drooping after an hour or so.

How can I avoid this from happening? Or is it one of the downsides of front fastening popper nappies?

Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem?

Other than that the nappy is gorgeous and a fantastic fit on Cole. Perhaps I won't send it back to her......

What did you stuff it with?

I found that if my stuffing wasn't the same width all the way down - and went right to the end of the nappy then it was more prone to wing droop... That said if they're on the smallest settings (or tabs crossed over) and particularly active they're more prone to it...

Doesn't mean it'll never fit right but perhaps front-fastening nappies aren't suited to your LO right now...

I stuffed it with a trifold bamboo thingy (think it was an Upsy Daisy one) with a microfibre insert on top. Will have a play with other inserts when it's dry again. I think the stuffing was right up to the end of the nappy but not 100% sure so will try it with something else next time.

It was on the tightest settings, yes. Particularly active? Now that is the understatement of the year.  He never sits still.

I have the same problem with my Lil Stinkie. We have it on the tightest setting too. TBH I don't think it's the stuffing, some extra poppers on the tabs would probably help. I'm keeping ours until Katie gets bigger in the hope it will fit better then.

I really love the nappy. I'm borrowing it just to see what I think of them before I order (when the shop's open again  :D ).

Might have to look at a different fastening instead.

We have this problem with anything front fastening on Summer, I'm pretty sure it's just cause she has all her nappies on the tightest setting!

Perhaps Marijke could add a popper to ensure it is fastened further along and doesn't droop? My Iish Fly has 3 poppers on the wings otherwise I think that one would droop.

I will certainly keep that one in mind! There is already a 3rd popper on each wing but its placed quite closely to the other 2 to avoid it being exposed to the skin once you start using the bigger settings. However I am sure I'll be able to come up with a solution :D

It's not my nappy! Don't think Nicola would be impressed if I started getting poppers added to her nappies.
