Pre-washing & absorbency?

Hi all, just got my first fuzzi in the post and can't wait to try it on Isabelle - hot pink - wow it's bright!!

With my HH (which makes a great changebag nappy!) I didn't bother to prewash as I bought it without an insert and wasn't bothered about pre-washing the fleece... (just use a prefold to stuff normally, or bamboo booster with microfibre cloth)
Do I need to prewash the fuzzi microfibre insert? I'm quite happy to just put it on her for a few hours and change her more quickly the first time but don't want to risk it not absorbing at all!!!

Also while I'm at it - seems really slim - is that really absorbent enough? How does it compare for absorbency to say a bamboozle?
Isabelle is not usually a heavy wetter and I change every 3-4 hours unless she's napping, sore or smelly...

Cheers

Steph (the pocket newbie - bumgenius on my wishlist next!!)

I'm really inpatient when it comes to new nappies!!! I tend to put them straight on and change them after a short while :D

The fuzzis with their own insert last Georgia about 2-3 hours. I have made some hemp boosters which I put under the microfibre insert, this lasts Georgia 4+ hrs. I think she is a medium wetter from what I have read about other babies.

Hope you like your new fuzzi, we love ours!!!

Glad I didn't bother prewashing now as guess what the first thing she did when I put it on her was?!

Yep... Nice smelly nappy

On the plus side it seems to fit her really well albeit on the smallest setting on the top row of poppers and next one up on second row...

Loving the "Hot Pink" neon colour too... Almost need sunglasses!!!

Also love how soft the fleece is - I know it won't stay like that but new nappies - ahhhhhh the soft strokeyness!!

Glad you are so happy with it!! a eh hemp type booster is what I add and then it can go 3/4 hours.

The good news is the fleece stays pretty nice too!
