Do you use lights?

On your tree or your house?

We do both and each year our outside light display gets bigger and bigger!!!! This year we've already bought a massive inflatable Santa for the front yard

We dont put any outside - we do use lights on the two trees in the house tho. Strictly small, white none blinking!

The only thing that goes outside are two door wreaths, one on the front and one on the back.

yes on the tree and around the fireplace altho now we have no mantel not sure where the second set are going this year

Nope, no outside decorations for us!
Just one set on the Christmas tree!

I just don't like them outside myself. But that's just me.

DH works for a gas/elec firm and spends soooooo much time talking to people ringing in at this time if year wanting to
know why their bills have gone up. It drives him mad saying this over & over.....

DH: Do you have lights on your Xmas tree?
Reply: Yes

DH: Do you have lights in your windows?
Reply: YES!

DH: Do you have lights on your roof?
Reply: YES!

DH: Do you have lights in the front garden/gate/driveway... ANYWHERE ELSE??
Reply: YES!!

DH: Do you have all these said lights on 24/7?
Reply: Yes of course!

.......,.,,DH: Turn them off!!! That's why your bill is huge!!!
Reply: "Oh" ... And silence when they realise it isn't free!

we have them in the window and both trees i love lights and so does pippa

We have lights on the tree.We had a net of lights up inside the window last yr but dh has chucked them! He's a right scrooge and hates christmas! I like outside lights provided they are understated like the icicle ones or on trees etc.Not keen on lots of multicoloured ones/inflatables etc.

Yes and yes, we have white lights on the tree and some on our balcony and a couple of wee animals in the garden x

We have white lights on our indoor tree & on our tree in the front garden. Other than that it's just a wreath on the front door. We don't have the outdoor lights on for huge amounts of time though - a couple of hours once dark until the boys go to bed, unless we have visitors and we do leave them on later on Christmas Eve / Day too

We have lights on the tree and one window set in the frontroom, then a light up wreath by the main door ( inside), daren't put anything outside, some scummy smack head will have off with them. The lights only go on in the afternoon apart from Xmas eve/ day when they are on constantly.
