How do I get smells out of grout? *UPDATED*

Postby Shaunie » Tue Sep 06, 2011 3:28 pm

Our toilet floor is tiled with those small squares less than 1" big. Due to wear and tear several of the tiles have come off around where feet most commonly are which is also the area any wee accident / sprays / drips are

I clean the now yellow looking grout area with floor cleaner but I can still smell stale wee :puke: . The only thing that worked for a while was to put bleach down but naturally I am very limited as to when I can do this due to the boys.

Is there anything else I can try to overcome this? It's def due another freshen up!

Well I tried the bicarb paste and scrubbed with an old toothbrush and it has done the trick :wine: . Am hoping it keeps smells at bay longer than bleach and it had done a better job at removing some of the yellow colour too :D
